Exercising and Brushing Your Teeth Share a Common Denominator
I was reading through the magazine, Diabetes Self-Management. There was a great article about Functional foods and how they work, but what really caught my eye was an article about exercising at home.
Now, whether you have diabetes or not, exercise is not an option if you are hoping to feel well tomorrow or next year. But people frequently tell me they are too tired, or their feet hurt or sometime they just plain don’t like to exercise.
But whatever your reason for not exercising, the fact still remains, if you are hoping to feel well tomorrow or next year, exercise is not an option. It is a must-do activity just like brushing your teeth.
The article reviews a 45-minute exercise video from the Joslin Diabetes Center. It was developed for people of all levels of fitness and physical limitations. The video has two instructors, one seated and one standing, performing every exercise so regardless of your excuse, you can still participate.
I also thought the price was reasonable. It is $24.95 and can be ordered by phone at 1-800-344-4501.
Just remember, check with your physician before beginning any new exercise program.
