The first federally approved diet pill for adults is now available over the counter. The name of this new diet pill is
Alli and it is the lower dose version of the prescription drug Xenical
Alli, like Xenical, works by preventing the absorption of about one quarter of dietary fat consumed.
The nice thing about Alli is that it is not absorbed into your body but rather passes through it and in the process carries the fat back out. But this leads to the primary side effect of Alli, which is diarrhea and the main reason people didn’t continue using Xenical.
So, is Alli right for you? Well, when trying to decide, here are a few questions that you can ask yourself. First, are you willing to keep the total fat at each meal to 15 gms? If you are then the next question is, are you committed to reducing your totally calorie intake and serious about regular exercise?
If you answered yes to these questions then Alli just might be right for. But one last question. Does your doctor know that you are considering taking Alli? If not, the first step is a call to your doctor.
