nano Missing lunch may be a contributing factor to weight gain

The weight in America continues to rise and this isn’t news to anyone. But what is new and a little perplexing is why, with all the attention on obesity, is the weight in America continuing to rise?

Some interesting information was reported in the US Today and sheds some light on this question. KFC conducted a survey more than 1,000 workers and asked them about their lunch hour. Here is what they found:

63% of workers consider the 60-minute lunch hour the biggest myth in office life, 58% eat lunch at their desk while continuing to work, 56% multitask during lunch, and 52% take 30 minutes or less for lunch. Unfortunately the survey didn’t ask how many people are skipping their lunch.

If you want to manage weight and prevent further weight gain, you need to begin eating again during the day. If you question this, think about the last time you had your main meal during the day, either on a holiday or the weekend. How hungry were you in the evening. Probably not very hungry.

So tomorrow as the lunch hour approaches, take a break, feed your body and begin effectively managing your weight.

Have a healthy evening.
