nano Cancer is scary but over half of all people never get it

Deciding what to do to prevent cancer can be very difficult according to a new study from the University of Wisconsin. Researchers talked with more than 6,000 adults to look at Americans’ feelings on cancer prevention and here’s what they found.

Almost half of the American public believes that almost everything causes cancer. Twenty five percent think there’s not much you can do to lower the chances of getting cancer and one third said there were so many recommendations it’s hard to know which ones to follow.

In response to this survey, the researchers offered these suggestions. Remember that half of all men and two thirds of all women never develop cancer in their lifetime.

Additionally they suggest that patient’s educate themselves using the internet and visit reliable sites such as the National Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society. Finally, talk to your doctor about your risk factors

As we continue to live longer it’s important to remember that we are living longer older, not younger. If we want to have the best possible health, we owe it to ourselves to learn as much as we can about how to do that.

Have a healthy evening.
